Three Kenora residents charged with Drug Trafficking
A drug bust has led to three Kenora residents facing several charges related to drug trafficking.
On January 24, OPP officers from the Kenora, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and Fort Frances detachments, as well as members of Treaty Three Police, conducted a search warrant in the 200 block of Ninth Street North.
As a result of the search, officers seized roughly $34,000 worth of crystal meth, hydromorphone, cocaine and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.
The following face multiple charges including Possession for the purpose of trafficking, and Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000:
Sean CASTON, 40, Kenora
Brad LACOMBE, 50, Kenora
and Brandy PELLETIER, 46, Kenora
Caston and Lacombe are held in custody, while Pelletier is set to appear in court on March 2.
Kenora set to host Northern Ontario Curling Provincial Championships
Kenora will be hosting the Northern Ontario Curling Association’s Provincial Championships at the Recreation Centre.
11 teams for the Men, including two from Kenora, and 7 teams for the Women will be participating in the playdowns. The two teams from Kenora include the Josh Szajewski
Opening ceremonies will begin at 6:30 Wednesday night, with the women’s final at 2pm on Sunday, followed by the Men’s final at 6.
Tickets are available on the Kenora Curling Committee website. They can also be purchased at Home Hardware and the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre.
