Single motor vehicle collision leads to impaired charges
A single motor vehicle collision has led to impaired charges being laid to one individual in Dryden.
On Sunday, February 4, at approximately 5:00 am, members of the Dryden Detachment OPP responded to a single motor-vehicle collision on Highway 105 near Trail Lake.
While the driver didn’t suffer any injures, investigations determined that alcohol was what resulted in the crash. The driver was then placed under arrest and brought in for further testing.
The 25-year-old resident of Pikangikum First Nation faces charges under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on April 15, 2024.
