One death confirmed in Highway 671 collision
One person has been pronounced deceased after a single-vehicle collision on Highway 671 to Grassy Narrows, about 12 kilometers north of the Kenora by-pass.
According to OPP, the incident happened at around 5:30 AM. The driver was taken to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
The passenger of the vehicle was also taken to hospital, suffering minor injuries.
The Traffic Incident Managemnt and Enforcement Team and Re-Constructionists are looking into the cause of the crash, and the area is reduced to one-lane traffic while investigations are underway.
