Planned power outage on October 1st
The City of Kenora will be without power for several hours on October 1st.
Hydro One is investing $35 million to improve the Rabbit Lake substation, which includes upgrading breakers, switches, insulators, and installing new equipment.
In order to complete the work, there will be a city-wide power outage on the 1st of October.
The outage will go from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, which according to Synergy North is a time of least electricity usage.
