One dead after Highway 17 collision near Marathon
One death has been confirmed after a vehicle collision on Highway 17 near Marathon on Monday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police say the accident occurred in Lecours Township where the victim was driving a passenger vehicle which collided with a tractor trailer.
The driver of the truck was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
The Trans-Canada Highway was closed for a prolonged period due to the accident.
