Teacher faces sexual assault charges in Deer Lake
The Nishnawbe Aski Police are investigating a sexual assault case in Deer Lake First Nation.
A 40-year-old Toronto man, who had been working as a ninth-grade teacher for summer students, is facing charges of sexual assault.
Police say the assault victim is an adult woman and not a student.
The suspect has been released from custody, but the chief and council are arranging to have him removed.
