
Drug bust in Sioux Lookout leads to Toronto man’s arrest
A drug bust in Sioux Lookout has led to the arrest of two individuals, with one of them from Toronto.
On Wednesday June 21, Sioux Lookout OPP were joined by Crime Units from Kenora, Ignace and Dryden, as well as officers from the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service, to execute a search warrant on a home in Sioux Lookout,
Cocaine and oxycodone were seized by police, as well as Canadian currency and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.
A 24-year-old man from Toronto and a 29-year-old from Sioux Lookout were arrested and face multiple drug trafficking charges, as well as charges possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and property obtained by crime.
The accused were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in Sioux Lookout court at a later date.
