Alert Ready test taking place at noon
Residents across the country will be getting an alert broadcast on their televisions, radios, and mobile devices just before noon on Wednesday May 10th to test Canada’s Alert Ready System.
The test will be taking place at various times across the country, with Ontario residents receiving the alert at 12:55 PM EDT.
The Alert Ready System is in place to make residents aware of emergencies, such as natural disasters like tornados and flooding, as well as threats to national security and civil emergencies.
