Traffic stop leads to three different charges in Red Lake
A traffic stop conducted by Red Lake OPP has led to three Slate Falls residents facing several charges.
On April 29 at 8:30 PM, the OPP’s Automated License Plate Reader system alerted officers of a suspended driver. After police pulled the vehicle over, their investigation determined the driver to be under the influence, a passenger breaching conditions of a release order, and another passenger in the possession of Oxycodone tablets.
A 19-year-old faces charges of operation while impaired and driving without a license.
A 47-year-old was charged of possession of schedule I substance.
And a 45-year-old is facing charges for failure to comply with release order.
The 19 and 47-year-old were released to appear in court in June, while the 45-year-old was remanded into custody and appeared in court on May 1.
