
Two charges laid in Whitefish Bay murder investigation
Two residents are facing charges in relation to the murder investigation of 45-year-old Buifford Cowley of Naotkamegwanning First Nation (Whitefish Bay.)
Cowley was reported missing on September 4 earlier this year, and his remains were discovered by police four days later in the Northwest Angle #33 First Nation area.
As a result of the investigation, OPP is charging 29-year-old Timothy Constant Lowe of Whitefish Bay with Second Degree Murder and Indignity to a Dead Body.
And 23-year-old Sierra Cowley of Kenora faces charges of Accessory After the Fact to Murder as well as Indignity to a Dead Body.
Lowe is set to appear in court in Kenora on December 8, while Cowley appeared in court yesterday to answer to the charges. The OPP states the investigation will continue.
