Vaccination QR codes now mandatory in Ontario
As of today (January 4, 2022), residents of Ontario will need their QR code and their enhanced vaccine certificate to enter many public settings.
The announcement of the QR code mandate was made on December 10, 2021, by Health Minister and Deputy Premier Christine Elliott, that the use of the QR code and Verify Ontario app would be made a requirement for businesses and public settings as of January 4th.
Businesses must accept either a digital or physical copy of a QR code, and vaccine receipts without a QR code will no longer be accepted.
Residents can download their enhanced certificates with a QR code HERE (health card is required.)
Residents who don’t have access to a computer or mobile device have been advised to contact their local library for assistance in printing out their vaccine certificate.
