“Every Child Matters Movement” by Grand Council Treaty #3 to take place on September 29th
Grand Council Treaty #3 invites everyone in Kenora to support the Every Child Matters Movement on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021, by placing an orange ribbon on the McLeod Park Bridge.
The event is to prepare in advance for the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, which is on September 30th.
Meeting time to receive a ribbon will be 11:00am at McLeod Park, and a light grab n go lunch will be provided from 11:30 to 12:30 at the Cecilia Jeffrey School site, 137 Airport Road.
Treaty #3 also acknowledges that there are many bridges across the 55,000 square miles of the region, and encourages those who are unable to attend at the event to adorn orange ribbons on other bridges to spread awareness if they are able to do so.
