TryLight Theatre Returns to the Stage
After a year-long intermission due to the pandemic, TryLight Theatre Co. will return to the stage near the end of this year.
Before the pandemic, TryLight planned to stage a production of Annie in April of 2020, but was postponed. Now, with this being the 30th anniversary of the company, organizers have decided to bring the show to audiences at the end of November.
The production of Annie will take place on November 28th through December 4th with most of the original cast returning. Tickets will be available a few weeks before the show, and in addition, TryLight is hoping for those who aren’t yet comfortable coming back to the theatre, or live very far away, to get streaming rights for those who would like to watch the show remotely.
Organizers have also already started working on the schedule for 2022, which will have three productions:
“Over the River and Through the Woods” in the ppring of 2022, a hilarious and heartwarming story of what it means to be family.
“Canterberry Tales” in June of 2022, rewritten for youth but very entertaining for adults.
and “All is Calm” in the fall of 2022, a nostalgic look at a WW1 Christmas story that shouldn’t have been.
TryLight Theatre has also put up a special exhibit at the Muse Lake of the Woods Museums to celebrate their 30th anniversary, “Raising the Curtain: 30 Years of TryLight.” Which commemorates the stories of the company and their performances. The exhibit can be seen at the museum until September 18th.
